The US Public Interest Research Group, along with The Roosevelt Institute, AU Student Government, AU College Democrats and the Kennedy Political Union are hosting a panel discussion in the Ward Circle Building School of Public Affairs room 1, from 7-9pm on Thursday, April 6th. The topic of the panel is campaign finance reform, specifically the Fair Elections Act of 2017 that was introduced to the council last week, the importance of making elections publicly funded, and what that would mean here in DC. Big money donations is a big problem here in DC, and this is a perfect opportunity to learn more and ask questions about this important topic.
