Professor Modesitt will address the fundamentals of whistleblowing law, including rights of employees in the public and private sectors, common issues that arise for whistleblowers and employer responses to whistleblowing. We will also have time for Q&A at the end of this event. This program is not sponsored by the Arlington Library.

Bio: Nancy Modesitt is an Associate Professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she teaches Employment Law and Employment Discrimination Law. She is the lead author of Whistleblowing: The Law of Retaliatory Discharge. In addition to her academic work on whistleblowing, Professor Modesitt has testified before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and proposed restructuring that agency to improve its ability to combat discrimination.
