You’re invited to a Pan African Community Action popular education session exploring how community control of police empowers Black women in particular and the Black community in general. The December 2015 case of Daniel Holtzclaw in Oklahoma and recent studies demonstrate that Black women are the targets of sexual misconduct by law enforcement.

While very often the focus is on Black men’s relationship to the police, Black women are racially profiled, incarcerated, and experience sexual violence at the hands of the police as well. Come out this Women's History Month and strategize on how to gain control of our communities!

Childcare will be provided. If you need childcare to attend please let us know by emailing or call 202.787.5229.
