The vast majority of seniors in prison, many who have been in prison for decades, are routinely denied parole and compassionate release by the state. They are often denied release even though they pose no threat to the public.

Join DC Stampede and Release Aging People in Prison (RAPP) in showing support and solidarity with these folks. We'll provide all the materials and a quick "how to" for writing to people in prison. It'll be a good chance to meet and hang out with other folks who are fighting for change.

"The plan is to try and get a camping and concert/rally permit for Mcpherson for two whole days. A concert/rally will be held in the park on Jan. 19 with camping there that night. The park will be a place to rest, eat and have medics available on the Inauguration day Jan. 20 with camping overnight. Since protests will be going on organized by different groups on Jan.20 we will be doing that during the day and will be in and out of the park during the Inauguration protests.
