Inauguration 2009

The Washington Peace Center worked very hard to bring out the message of peace and justice on this Inauguration day, 2009.  Our signs , which read "Mr. President, I Hope for __________. Let's Make It Happen!", were mentioned in Boston.com, Thai Indian, The Indiana Gazette, and Maureen Dowd's column in NY Times


Washington Peace Center and Affiliated Groups Interviewed in planning for Inauguration 2009

The Washington Peace Center, and other groups affiliated with us, were interviewed a great deal leading up to the Inauguration, by the Washington Post and McClatchy.  We discussed in depth the future of the peace and justice movements in this country, and how we will act with the new Obama Administration.
