Join Collective Action for Safe Spaces and the Washington Peace Center for a training on how to testify before DC City Council on the legislation you care about.

Facilitators will show you how to craft your message, prepare your talking points, and give effective testimony to get legislation passed in the District.

This event is open to all, but we are highlighting the opportunity to help pass the Street Harassment Prevention Act: an intersectional, anti-criminalization approach to ending harassment against our most marginalized communities. The hearing is on July 12th and we want you to get involved. Join our social media campaign to #PassSHPA, show up to pack the hearing room, or submit written or in-person testimony about why preventing street harassment matters to you.

Snacks, refreshments, and childcare provided.
