Want to make a difference to students in DC?
If you care about education in DC, then you need to come out on May 10th.
In the Mayor’s draft budget, she has proposed a per-pupil increase of 1.5% which represents the lowest per-pupil increase for students in the last 8 years. Her proposal shortchanges students, teachers, families, and schools - this must be increased. The DC Education Coalition for Change (DECC) is organizing parents, students, teachers and concerned community members to speak with one voice that DC needs to put kids first.
Join DECC on May 10th to push for the 3.5% recommended increase in per-pupil funding, more money for after school programs, and for teaching and school initiatives to help all DC students.
