Join SURJ NoVA and SURJ DC to have important conversations with Northern VA residents about race and racial justice. We're applying long-term, research-based strategies designed to push our neighbors to collectively re-think their support for systemic white supremacy. Please RSVP here:

Before canvassing, we'll learn about how to ask questions and listen to other white folks who are conflicted about race. The day starts with lots of support, a training on the theory behind the strategy, and practice with a partner and script. We'll knock on doors and then come back so we can learn together about what worked and what didn't. Research has proven this strategy can actually move people but it's new to the movement for racial justice. We're excited to be one of the first groups in the nation to be trying it out.
